This would be WONDERFUL. I always feel bad sending it right after they applied if they are not a good fit - but it’s hard to leave it in active to be respectful. Feedback has been that when we update too soon, it makes them feel like it’s spammy.

Maybe it would be worth considering that as a general feature, a la Gmail sent delay.
In that fashion, a delay of say 1-5 minutes could be implemented for all notifications so in case of error (wrong clicks happen), the notification can be recalled before being sent.
From a user experience perspective, that delay rarely would cause trouble.
